Sarasota is known as the art and cultural hub of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Sarasota is booming and is a relocation melting pot that demands culture, arts and entertainment very much like New York City. A quick glance at our skyline reveals 10+ giant cranes building modern high rise penthouses, and that’s just in the downtown area. We have a variety of quaint historic neighborhoods and also newly developing master planned communities. We can find you studios, beach bungalows, villas, townhomes, penthouses, condominiums, poolside homes, family homes, historic homes, multi-family homes, and of course beautiful custom designed homes.
Sarasota Bay at Main Street is the hub of action and there’s plenty of free parking. Marina Jacks is a great place to park your boat and take in the sunset, enjoy a drink and live music. Walking along the bayfront you will find the Sarasota Island Park in the middle of the bay. (seen below) You will often see most of our parks are full of festivities and entertainment. There’s a casual Tiki bar called Oleary’s at the base of the Island Park and they usually have live music every weekend. A big multi-block party style farmers market fills our streets every Saturday morning till 1pm. If you want to people watch then start out on Main Street by the Marina Jacks, Clasico Bar & Cafe or at Whole Foods. It seems like everyone comes out to walk around downtown Sarasota on the weekends. If you want to know about the fun things to do just call me. Here’s my top of the list picks for you to visit: Selby Botanical Gardens, enjoy our art galleries and variety of boutique drinking and dining hot spots. Step inside our beautiful world class entertainment venues like The Ringling, The Sarasota Opera House, Van Wezel Performance Hall, and a cool new hangout is the Urbanite Theater.
