U.S. News & World Report ranks Sarasota as the #14 best place to live in the U.S. Sarasota was graded 7.0 out of a 10 point scale. The ranking is based off of the quality of life, strong job market and desirability of the area.
According to U.S News, Sarasota’s year-round warm temperatures and thriving arts and cultural scene makes it a premier destination for retirees and families.
Its also very central to two other major cities, Tampa and Orlando.
Sarasota is also a great market for those who have small businesses, work in health care or tourism .
Other Florida cities that made the list were Jacksonville at #34, Fort Myers (#38) and Melbourne (#40), Tampa (#42)) and Orlando ( #44).
